But it’s no ordinary story…concealed throughout are clues to a very real treasure hidden somewhere in Aura! It’s made for fun and 100% free to join. Here’s what to do:
1. Read the story. It’s just one page!
2. Spot the clues. Read closely. With a sharp eye, you’ll find clues to the location of the treasure.
3. Find the treasure. Use the clues and discover the treasure. There’s only one treasure, so the first one who finds it keeps it!

To ensure the legitimacy of the hunt, a substitute (or “proxy”) token is hidden in the location you’ll discover through the clues in the story. The person who solves the clues and finds this item will get to trade it in for the silver Kira coin.
Is the treasure buried or on private property?
The treasure is NOT buried, on private property, in or under water, in a cemetery, or hidden in a dangerous location. It’s outdoors in a safe, public place that can be accessed without violating any laws. You don’t have to talk to anyone and there’s no equipment or specialised knowledge needed.

The location you’re looking for is somewhere within Aura, Queensland (Banya, Baringa, and Nirimba suburbs).
Are there additional clues on the website or on social media?
Nope, there are no clues or hints on any website or social channels. All the clues you need are in the story!
Who created this and why?
My name’s Brian, I’m a treasure hunter myself, and I live right here in Aura.
A really long time ago, my parents told me about a children’s storybook that contained clues to a real life treasure hidden within its pages and illustrations.
I thought this concept was so cool, so I made this hunt myself, for fun, to give others the thrill, excitement, and “a-ha!” moments that come with solving a puzzle and finding a treasure in the real world.

Can I use a metal detector?
You can try, but the proxy item (substitution item) isn’t metal and won’t give off a signal.
Is this a scavenger hunt, where I go from place to place?
No, the clues in the story lead to one treasure in one location.
What do I do if I’ve solved Kira’s Tale?
Once you find the proxy item, contact me using the information provided with it, plus your solution, to officially get the silver Kira coin! You may remain anonymous to the public if you choose, but once the treasure’s been found, the solution will be shared on this web page.

Yes, once the treasure’s found, this web page will be updated and the full solution will be shared.
What are the rules or Terms and Conditions?
The treasure is not buried, on private property, in or under water, in a cemetery, or hidden in a dangerous location. It’s outdoors in a safe, public place that can be accessed without violating any laws, and there’s no equipment required or specialised knowledge needed.
To ensure the legitimacy of the hunt, a substitute (or “proxy”) token is hidden in its place. The person who solves the clues and finds this proxy item will get to trade it in for the silver Kira coin.
No purchase necessary. Open to residents of Australia. No cash substitution is allowed. There is one (1) treasure, and whoever solves the clues first and is considered the finder and gets to keep it. At that point, it’s considered a gift from me to the finder, which carries no liability to pay income tax. From there, the finder can choose to keep it, sell it, trade it, or do whatever they’d like with it. The finder may choose to remain anonymous following the receipt of this gift. If you decide to search, you do so at your own risk. Please use caution and discretion and obey all local laws at all times. By choosing to participate in this search, you agree to indemnify and hold me harmless from any and all claims, injuries, damages, losses, or suits, including attorney fees, arising out of or in connection with the treasure hunt. I am not responsible for any personal injury, loss, or damage of property that may occur during the treasure hunt. I am not liable for any accidents, injuries, or losses that occur during the course of this activity. Please respect our environment and do not litter or disturb any wildlife while searching.
